How would the meta change if certain moves only had super-effectiveness or neutrality if it has STAB applied to it?
For example, let's say Weavile uses Ice Shard on Moltres versus Starmie using Ice Beam. Since Moltres is Fire/Flying it hits neutrally. But let's say STAB Ice type attacks could deal neutral damage to Fire types. This would yield a super effective hit.
If it were balanced correctly, would this be a viable way to help offensive typings such as Ice, Fighting, and Rock so more of those pokemon are used instead of just fitting in coverage on better typed mons?
