hawaii islands were created relatively recently so they don't have the same amount of fossils as other locations. no dinosaur fossils are there at all for instance.

They're probably gonna let us catch every available fossil in the Dream Park area, since we're getting an expanded Dex, and the Sinnoh and Unova fossils were there already
(Regardless of the fake concept art, the area itself most likely will get expanded upon) so I can see that satisfying my fossil fix

They could've done more sea-themed fossilmons. Since a lot of the land would've been at the bottom of the ocean for a long time.
