Not to sound entitled or anything but the pokemon community change when games hit the 3ds with the switch will the community get better or worse with new people coming in ?

What new people? There's not going to be a huge surge of new people, the overlap between pokemon fans with a 3ds and pokemon fans with a Switch is pretty huge.

That sums it up pretty well. Most of the current Switch owners aren't huge Pokémon fans. They've played through some of the older games and maybe X/Y but that's it.
