And if you wanted to trade for a shiny they'd ask if you had a shiny they wanted, or just a beneficial Nature for a mon that you had. And my god the XY days were fun as fuck, all the leaks, No Es Fake, Fairy denier getting blown the fuck out, Chespin's "leaked" evo stands out the most for me as a fond memory, oh and all the speculation on the new Eeveelution. IIRC Flying was the most wanted type from it, and there were lots of people grasping for straws at Bug and Ghost. And that Fairy denier my lord, even with Sylveon's name revealed to hint at Fairy type in other languages, they would still angrily deny the existence of Fairies. That and the Friend Safari threads were like, the comfiest threads in existence. No one really badgered for any specific rare Safari mon, we all just added each other to fill it up.
