I don't want a Pokemon MMO, I just want a single player non-linear game in proper full 3D, so you feel like you're on an actual adventure with your cartoon pet. Before you ">open world" fags crop up, Pokemon gains nothing from being rigidly linear. It's not a carefully crafted gameplay experience, it's just going from one objective to the next. Letting you do objectives in multiple orders and choose when to progress the story only benefits the game in terms of replayability and immersion. Parts of gen 1 and 2 already did this.

The biggest hurdle to this has always been animating hundreds of unique models for a full 3D environment and range of movement, but most of that work is already done. It's not hard to ape the structure of Zelda or multitudes of open world adventure games.

Give me one non-meme argument as to why this would be bad.
