If I recall correctly, there's only one combination of IVs that cause a shiny in both Gen 2 and Gen 7. Most of the time, a shiny in Gen 2 will be normal in Gen 7.
Wait until the bank is properly updated.

Found a shiny Rattata within an hour or so of starting Silver then a shiny Ursaring in Gold the following day. The Rattatta was risky since it was before the game let me buy more Pokeballs. He broke out of two of the last three balls I had.

And here's the Ursaring. A bit less stressful to catch since it put itself to sleep and I had plenty of balls to catch it. G/S is definitely my shiny gen since it's given me three of the four random shinies I've encountered throughout my whole time of playing Pokemon since RBY.
