Trying to make one of these for the main Pokemon games. Any thoughts on it? Places to polish etc. I haven't played the Johto games in a while, so I'm very undecided there.

BW1 are a bit too high in post game, but I didn't want to cover the Good Campaign text

If you mean Pokemon Yellow, there is a reason for that. Your Starter is Pikachu, which is useless most of the game, and gives you the worst early game in the franchise, unless you know where to catch Mankey.

After that, you have two options, box it, or let it be in your team and be an exp sink while giving back nothing

Also, they changed a few gyms, making them worse, so there is that. Probably could be a little closer

Not only that but the additions weren't that interesting, being able to use all three starters was nice but you could already do that with trading, the Team Rocket battles came out of nowhere and they had no influence on the story (which was kept the same), its such a pointless game that could have been much better if they allowed you to at least evolve your Pikachu

the pacing of the gyms is pretty bad, the story and climax are unrewarding and the game is very easy even with Exp share off. The pokemon variety is good but the distribution is awful and doesn't make sense most of the time. That is my main reasoning really

There are more zones to explore in unova tho, and the post game level curve is much better

Also, i'm going to put DP higher in the next update anyways, and BW1 would be rigth in the middle if it wasn't for my autism not wanting to cover the letters. I don't think SM postgame is that good

It has a good level curve and good pacing, but has the same issues related to pokemon variety and distribution of XY (but not as extreme). Probably the worst part about SM is its terrible gameplay/narrative balance. It interrupts you too much and explains the plot instead of being part of the plot. If the narrative/gameplay thing was better, it could easily be in the middle of campaign

If we count sidequests and fully exploring caves (unless you do that after acquiring Cascade) that's it.

It is pretty much the only Pokemon game in which getting a new HM opened up caves to reveal how massive they actually were, and all the secrets you could find. Each new TM pretty much guaranteed you'd need to fully explore a cave once more and find new stuff.
Then again, i am biased because Crystal is my favorite game in t he series, even with its glaring flaws. (Seriously, what's with that pokemon distribution?)

It could be a bit higher, but I don't think is that fantastic. Kanto gets really old really fist, and the gen 4 Battle Frontier isn't as varied or replayable as Emerald's. The legendary hunt is interesting, and I forgot to consider the minigames while rating HGSS, so that's another plus.

Will be higher than BW and lower than Pt, that's for sure

Updated version:
Diamond got a drastic incrase in postgame, the Johto games got a slight postgame increase.
Emerald, RS and SM were moved slightly to the left, Platinum and Yellow were moved slightly to the rigth. BW1 was moves slightly down (still not covering the campaign thing)

Campaign is not only story. Pacing, difficulty, level curve, gameplay/narrative balance and level design affects too

Praising BW's post game but saying SM's isn't good makes no sense. You get new areas to explore just like BW, the UB quest provides both gameplay and story content, Battle Tree is more interesting than the usual tower/subway, and other things like more legendaries to get and the Eevee quest. It's slightly behind BW and DP at worst, but there shouldn't be a huge gap.

All Emerald had was a battle facility. And don't try to pull the "but it was a great battle facility" crap. The one and only reason anyone considers it better than the Platnium frontier is the Battle Pyramid. Every other facility is hot garbage or was ported over to Platnium.

Good, point, I completely forgot about the UB Missions (which were pretty repetitive and got old pretty quickly, but definetly should warrant at least a small bump). and also the dating scenes with the characters and other stuff that you didn't mention.
Seeing all the important trainers is another goal on itself, so that's another bump

For BW2, there is the already mentioned PWT, and also Pokestar studios, Black Tower/White Tree Hollow (Which is a better Pyramid facility), the legendary hunt is one of the most entertaining int he series, but fall short thanks to its lack of legendaries to catch in comparison to other games. Literaly half of Unova is still left to explore, which btw has a really good level curve for a postgame, the Unova link has a lot stuff to do as well.

Platinum has secret bases, pokemon contests, several postgame missions, the mansion, gym leader rematches,etc. (Is not too much, but that's why is just above HGSS)

The Kanto postgame has an awful level curve, is pretty much empty aside from some locations and the gyms (which are barely above the level of the elite 4)

Also, RGBY/FRLG and GSC/HGSS are all bad campaign, these games don't even prioritize the history itself, but exploration. HGSS and Crystal have some little narration improvements over GS.

The ORAS campaign should be close to the RS one too.

And finally, SM's narrative is one of the best so far. The "cutscenes" totally do away with the replay factor, but the narrative itself, and the way it is projected, is objectively good.

XY and DP should be in the middle with RS.

Switch ORAS with BW2, and move Platinum over to DP's level, then switch XY with HGSS and SM with Crystal. Swap BW with FRLG, and then bump BW back to slightly behind the median for campaign. Swap Red with Yellow.

It's still not totally accurate, but it's the easiest way to get this mess in some semblance of accuracy.

If you're referring to the three towns and the routes inbetween, that doesn't equate to substantial content. Compare the region design in every other game since RS (Hoenn, Sinnoh, BW2 Unova, and even Kalos). All of these games have towns that don't have any gyms of the sort, but unlike BW, these are placed in various locations instead of being locked in the postgame. BW Unova is a marathon of gym towns in the maingame, with all of the non-gym towns being locked behind as postgame to make it look like there's more content.
