So.... how does the Pokémon TCG compare with other Children’s Card Games? From what I understand, you need a lot of energy cards to use attacks with some support cards here and there.

Its like playing Uno but instead of matching colors to numbers, you're matching pokemans to their energies.
Trainer cards are like the switch cards or draw extra cards cards .
Then you take six prize cards and every time you Uno- in this game you yell"gotta catch em all" you take your opponents prize card
Thats the gambling element of it. Like POGs.

Energy is slower than mana, but draw power is handed out like candy unlike MTG (equivalent of ancestral recall and time twister are staple uncommons everyone runs)

doesn't help no one I know in any card shop plays it outside of some turboweebs that also play Weiss Schwartz. I'd honesty rather play with literal children.

didn't you guys JUST have a mass player exodus format? I just formed a group of 4-5 ex-yugi people to play Dragonball Super and Pokemon. They sold their Ash Blossoms for some Lele GXs and other deck materials.

Probably cause of the introduction of the Extra Monster Zone, of which there are 2 but only one can be used per player, which screwed over a lot of Extra Deck plays since they’re forced to accept Link Summoning, which would allow them more Extra Deck monsters in their “links”.

It's first in my opinion. You can substitute most of the expensive cards with something else. While it's not quite the same, there is a huge variety of options.

I prefer Yu-Gi-Oh! Competitively because I don't have to put up with bullshit for about two years since it's release (refer to Seismitoad lock).

As for Magic, I only play Commander.
