These are options that can be included within the same facility, but they are just gone. Game Freak has shown that there can be variety when it comes to Pokemon battles, but they've pared it down to the basics that we've seen for years now. Not all modes are great, like Sky Battles and Triples, but modes like Rotation, Inverse, and Rental provide a new way to battle. People want more to do with their Pokemon, not just flying around and getting bits of lore from different people. All that is sometimes interesting but Pokemon, and Pokemon battles, can be utilized for a lot more than that.
