Alright, so, guys.
Pokemon Sun and Moon version was a disappointment. The entire game, its story, characters and their interactions, the removal of various mechanics and concepts and their being replaced with inferior, shitty versions or things nobody asked for. (The removal of HMs being a rare exception.)
I have a theory, though, birthed through the power of autism, that might explain why the entirety of SM feels like a joke, other than the fact that is was an obvious beta for USM.
The Alola Region, and by extension Pokemon Sun and Moon, is literally just an in-universe commercial. A tourist trap. An “”””””authentic Pokemon™ experience”””””” manufactured by people as an advertisement for some cheesy tropical resort., and the entire island, save for a few individuals, is in on it. Pokemon Sun and Moon version is a retelling of the Truman Show, (you)’re Jim Carrey, and here’s why.
