I've never heard buyfags before. Purchasing a game supports the developers and pirating them doesn't help them because it cuts back their sales. Not to mention that with the switch(and maybe Wii u I never owned one) if you buy a physical copy of a game you can get gold points on the My Nintendo site which can be turned in for discounts on the eShop, free DLC, and 3DS themes. Purchasing a game for at least a Nintendo console can get you loads of free shit to go with it. I see no downside.

whats wrong with just buying something because you wanted to play it? i dont see any reason to justify it any other way. want to play a game = buy that game.

I don't get it. Why do people resort to hacking? If it's for older games that are hard to come by and super expensive I get it, but why bother when the game is right there in the store? Do people not want to support the companies? Are they on a really tight budget? Do they find more enjoyment in messing around until they create a successful program that plays the games on a computer?

What if I just wanna test it first, because I can't trust modern game devs enough anymore to buy sight unseen?

I've gone from happy little kickstarter funder/preorders everything to frankly downright paranoid. And what's worse, I'm a gullible and forgiving imbecile, people walk all over me on a daily basis, you could wake up at noon and still pull the wool over my eyes, and they've STILL hit a point where I don't trust them without overwhelming verification.
