nah it's 2018. bandai is projecting huge increase in japanese pokemon merch sales in the latter half of 2018. if it's not 2018, pokemon company has been dishonest with bandai.

Anyone who thinks it's coming next year is an idiot. Pokemon is not annual, it takes 1 year breaks typically every 3 years or so. The gaps between gens have always been 3-4 years and gens 4 and 6 both came out on the DS and 3DS's third years respectively. It's not being a "patternfag", it's using common sense. Gamefreak isn't in a rush to release pokemon on a new console because they're not nintendo. If anything, they'd want to wait until the install base is higher. And since this will be gamefreak's first real hd game, development will be more difficult and take more time.

If the president of Pokémon company is projecting 2018, then they're aiming to get it out for 2018, saying anything else is just plain lies (Remember other Nintendo heads also doubled-down on this and said 2018).

Lying to Bandai is one thing, lying to a worldwide audience and investors/shareholders will not happen, particularly as I believe the announcement only a reaction to shut up everyone who were savaging USM for them not being on the Switch.

Good. Gives time for them to release a smaller Switch before I buy one. Maybe a one peice protable, with no dock.

Price isn't my problem, it's mainly size I don't like about the Switch. I prefer handhelds anyway, so playing pokemon on a TV doesn't really appeal to me. Only on rare occasion I use the GB Player. Not a resolution fag either, I still have a 15yo CRT. Works fine, looks fine.

Also because I prefer the dual screen for the battle menu, but can't do shit about that. It'll be like pre-Gen IV again, so at least we know what to expect.
