3ds storage newbie here, USUM is coming and I was almost out of memory so I bought a new SD card, I noticed the new SD reads my Pokémon X save (cart), then downloaded Pokébank and I have the same stuff I have in my old card. However when I redownloaded my SM digital copy I realized it doesn't load my save from the old card and starts from the language selection and Kukui's call, first I was like "oh fuck", then I thought it would be cool to have two saves, but I'm afraid saving here could remove my old save from the other card, as I heard the console has some security thing that prevents multiple files, even in different cards.
