Old ones is better. Fits the tropical theme better, feels more vibrant/lively than the new one, is unique. The new one has a shitty shape and the color is too bold.

In an ideal world, the old one would be used for Alola, while the new one would be used in Ultra Space/against UBs and maybe also online

It has nothing to do with that you fag, it has to with it looking fucking ugly. It can still look good with a "childish" touch, but it doesn't.

I loved the old ones. Totally different, went well with the setting which also reminded me HEAVILY of Mario Sunshine (still my favorite). It looked fresh and had character, unique.

These new ones are just generic.

BW2 HP bars are still the most sleek and best designed so far. Also, the HUD was amazing as well.
HGSS was nice too, but it only build off from previous gens and didn't do anything original

Old ones are better imo, they fit the region really well, and reminded me of the 90s Jazz squiggles and Mario Sunshine too

New ones arent bad so I'm not complaining, they look really sleek and I like the blue and green they used

Though I hope they give us the option to change between the two, similar to the Text Boxes and HUD options from all the other games
