Any negative archetype would do, given the closest we had so far was Blue (who was a champion for, like, a whole hour or so before MC came in and we only know about him acting like a jerk towards said MC) and Alder (who wasn't bad per se, just apathetic and depressed after a personal tragedy). And possibly Malva. Everyoned else was goody two shoes so more antagonistic champion would be quite a nice change of pace.

I'd be all in for a bancho archetype with Pangoro ace but every fucking retard would start screaming about Jotaro references.

A Mr. Satan type character would be fun I think. A trainer that everyone loves and respects because they think he's hot shit, but he really sucks at raising Pokemon and battling. You fight him the first time around and he has a joke team, but then gets replaced after the fact. He gets a redemption arc after the main story where he becomes a formidable opponent and takes over the post game facility.

so advanced that it has to be contained in a huge supercomputer and the entire pokemon league building is made up of its parts, and all the elite 4 battles including your final battle against it are held inside of it

not only is it an advanced ai as a character, but it is one specially designed to track every move you make in every battle throughout the game to calculate the exact set of moves and pokemon it needs to defeat your team in the least turns possible

And the champion is the King

I like what Sun and Moon did where you actually know each member of the Elite 4 from your journey, so I would do that again too,

They could bring back the Kalos E4 guy to be the knight

Takes place in Kanto 20 Years Later, with the Champion actually Silver, who realized after a while his father had the right idea.
Sequel is actually in Johto, and after the Autocracy that was toppled in Kanto, you defeat the new league, after a cool story involving no evil team just another threat, where the NEW champion is actually just Blue, because no one else would rise to the task.
Also your rival in both games is Red's kid.

Would love to see a little kid (like 7-8 years old) to be a champion. He'd be kinda autistic, doesn't like talking with anyone and lives in his own world with his pokemon. But he's amazing at battling and training pokemon
