Just had my save file corrupt. A couple hundred fully leveled and trained mons gone. 2000 hours of my life.

This is yet another reason you should have hacked your 3DS by now. Single save files are an archaic, shit system and hacking the 3DS is the only way to make backups.

Oh man...

I remember back when my older brother's Ruby got corrupted. He finished getting EVERYTHING.
Full Dex, Battle Tower shit, Contests, everything.
Then, out of nowhere, it just got corrupted...
I was on the way to completing my Dex too, just missing the Babby Pokemons, and upon knowing what happened, I deleted my file out of respect.
Something in him broke that day, and he never enjoyed another game since. All the time spent... gone.
I still play all of the games, but I just cannot bring myself to 100% everything in a Pokemon game anymore.
He's gone now, but I still have his save files, and never touch the versions he played.

End blog kill me.

Just happened, idk what could have caused it. Maybe the cart got taken out while the 3ds was in sleep mode or something but i havent played in months so whatever happened it wasnt recently
