> Your dad picks the last starter and tries to convince you to come back
> They don't let you compete in Gyms for the first part of the game because you lack an official trainer card
> Evil team wants to test the boundaries of Pokémon evolution (region's legendary is the entity that enables evolution in Pokémon)
> They conduct experiments on the Pokémon they rob
> When you eventually find your Eevee, it is mutated in a state that can change between all of his evolutions during battle (it's the last battle against evil team master)
> Once you beat evil team, you get your trainer card and are able to fight the gyms (it's the post game)
