I think SOS calling could transition into up to 5 pokemon max, or at least 3. It would be a nice compromise, but SOS won't come back sooo...

I'm imagining the Pokémon constantly fly through the air dogfight style instead of idling awkwardly.

GF being grossly incompetent. It could be different, like having actual flying animatios for flying mons that are usually standing. Then Sky Battles would have been meh at best.

Sky battles? Absolutely NOT!! Everything else yes. Horde battles were superior to S.O.S chaining and grinding. I avoided every sky battle like the plague in gen 6. They were stupid. If I wanted to play against a monotype team and I mean MONOtype, I'd just do it on showdown where there's at least variety and not just the type that fits the particular gimmick.
