Why is /vp/ so dellusional regarding the Switchmon?

Let me explain something to you: Pokémon GO changed EVERYTHING.
Forever.
For years, the public of Pokémon was mainly japanese children and neckbeards who play it
competitively. And it went pretty well to be fair, they had their share of the market. But when Pokémon GO was released, the true potential of Pokémon was demonstrated. With a simplistic game for cellphones, it dominated
the world withing weeks of release. People went crazy, invading neighbour's houses, storming
city parks. Now, it did wear off pretty quickly, but the game was trully lacking at the time, with a shitty battle system and developers who couldn't deliver new content in time to keep people interested. But it served as a sign: Nintendo understood what they could do with a really well made and accessible Pokémon game.

Switchmon will be a system seller. It will have to convince everyone that the Switch isn't just Mario Odissey and BOTW. So it will inevitably have to adapt to what has been the rule of the market for years now.

> Forget about remakes, unless we're talking about Red and Blue.
Nobody cares about Diamond and Pearl. And the 2 version bullshit is also over. I'd bet my ass the name of
the game will be something simple and generic like "Pokémon World"

> Forget about Megas, Z moves, Alola forms and all this new shit
They made it in a alternate universe for a reason. It dies with the 3DS generation.

> Say goodbye to the old battlesystem
Yeah, because no one besides children and autists enjoy that. People've been playing with the most sofisticated and enjoyable mechanics for decades now, if Pokémon is coming to this century, it has to step up its game. So long IVs and EVs! So long turn based RPG system!

Right now, they are trying to cast The Rock to dub Pikachu in a movie. Face it: Pokémon has become normie subject.

Enjoy USUM.

It is the last game made for you.
