Coverage wise, it lacks good strong (keyword: strong) coverage to punish things that want to switch in on its close combats.
As a defiant user, it really lacks the ability to punish defoggers and sticky webs. Most defoggers are psychic or flying type, two types it has a poor matchup against. It could circumvent this via scarf to a degree, but even at +2 these defoggers are tanky ass fuckers these days and its coverage moves are weak and exploitable because of this. You rock slide (75) that zapdos or knock off (97 max, 65 often) that mew and the opp will get the opportunity to punish you for this with relative ease.
And as for sticky web it has no strong priority to make up for now being about as slow as rhyperior.
Don't get me wrong it has almost all the right tools to be great its just they don't gel well and the meta does not want it to be good. Mach punch or a better type in general would do wonders for it. Its basically bisharp but bad. Bisharp having exceptional matchups on the majority of defoggers and strong priority to punish webs.
Bruxish is in a similar boat. Too slow, not as slow but still too slow. 92 is workable, for a tank that is, which bruxish most certainly is not having roughly the same bulk as greninja. So given its so frail it wants to be as fast as possible meaning you have the death sentence that is having to choose between good speed or wallbreaking capacity. Bruxish can absolutely crush walls with a band or what have you but with a scarf its only real method of doing good damage is the extremely exploitable psychic fangs. No good.
