Obvious bait....he "was playing" it on emulator with no filter on. Try zooming in on 3ds graphics and they will look pixelated as fuck as well.

Gen 5 looked great and the sprites were the absolute best in the series. Crisp, colourful and the animation just added that little bit extra.

The animation was disgustingly bad and ruined the few sprites that weren't bad. Crystal had great sprites, gen 4 had good sprites (excluding DP). I'd have liked to see HD sprites at some point but that's not happening now.

Handheld systems and old CRT TVs have something called "interlacing" that causes them to look inherently different than playing on a high resolution digital display. Without getting into technical explanations, the best way I can think of to describe it is that it "blurs" pixels together in a certain way. Since this is something inherent to the hardware screen, and has nothing to do with the system software, emulators can't replicate it. The result is that a lot of handheld games look really, really blocky and pixelated when viewed outside of their native screen, because the graphics were designed specifically to look good on that screen.

Looks pretty close. Sprite scaling is what I hate about gen 5's graphics as well, though OP must be playing on an emulator, the 3D elements don't pixelate like that.
The combination of morphing sprites and 3D environments isn't a good one, though.
