Paul had loads of good Pokémon and good strategies. Viewers were excited when he was in an episode because it's exciting to feel like the characters are actually powerful.
Trip was just the usual mix of NFEs and shitmons because the writers bewilderingly hate giving characters teams that actually look strong.
