1. Mudsdale and Donphan and Piloswine are ground types proving all you need to be classified as a ground type is to be heavy and slow. Not every ground type has to have sand coming out of their pores
2. I like to run monotype ground teams and fairy and ground types are the only ones I can't use. And I like makuhita/hariyama but it has very little that sets it apart from other fighting types. A unique typing would do this, and make thick fat more useful due to ground's ice weakness.
