it's not gonna be the lowest selling pokemon game of all time by any means, OP. People need to stop making these threads. If anything, the hype for the games rose after the recent interviews and outside of this board, the response to the games isn't as bad (probably greatly improved after the interviews too)

You know, it's interesting how consistent mainline sales have been since pokemania ended.
All first entries do about 16 million
All third versions do about 6 million
And all three remakes did 12-13 million

It sold almost the same as XY in the first ten weeks. Pokémon simply does not sell more so well in Japan, just look at the BW sales. The second year of SM has already passed the XY sales.
