7 no, seriously, why the fuck is it an archer? You can ask the same question of Incineroar and Primarina, but I at least don't think of it until I look at Decidueye. Could just be me.
I don't think many people are happy with any of the gen 7 starters, but while they are all pretty much equally shitty, Decidueye doesn't have any simple redeeming qualities. Incineroar and Primarina at least look fun, even if the overall design is shit. Decidueye isn't even endearing. Rowlet is great. Dartrix is endearing. Decidueye just looks dumb, and doesn't even have that basic-bitch level endearing quality the others do.
