>>33898237You just don't know terminology, doesn't mean you have to get all pissy.
The model refers to the vertices, edges, and faces that define where the object exists in 3D space. It can also include the texture(s) and rigging, depending on context. The pose and animations are NOT part of the model, because model is developed in such a way that allows it to be reposed and animated in a variety of ways.
You could argue the same applies to texture and rigging, but usually those are kept in mind while the modeler is modeling, rather than animation, which is usually set up based on the model. The models from PBR/Stadium are worse on an almost objective level, but I agree that the poses and animations from XY/SM are fairly bland and uninspired, which is too bad. Maybe Switch games will fix that.
>>33895043Because on such a small screen, details would be harder to make out. I don't think the outlines are as ugly as people think they are, I think most of you have just seen the outline-less versions in a higher resolution and with more post-processing, which makes you think it looks better. See this
>>33894701 for example. The outlines have been removed but there's a ton of post-effects being added on top as well. Without those you'd have trouble distinguishing the various individual parts of the model, especially on one with more complexity.
