No mega universe until BW2.

Mega evolution universe since X Y.

there will be Z moves in the no mega evolution universe?

How change the story in the no Mega kalos universe?

How zinnia can travel into both universes?

Was it ever clarified that there are only two universes though?
The moment you throw multiverse theory into lore continuity and consistency usually get thrown right out of the window.
Is it just mega evo verse and no mega evo verse? Are the Z-Moves indicative of another universe for S/M? Maybe just ORAS is in the alternate universe, or all the remakes are alternate universes. Or every gen is it's own alternate universe, which would explain new gods and baby forms just popping up in later games. Every game might be in another universe and version exclusives are just a result of that. Hell, you could even theorize that every single game that has been played is happening in another universe and only trading and the pokemon bank exist outside of the multiverse and the thousands of Arceus (Arcei?) and similar "one of a kind" legendarys is actually explained in-universe by this.

It's implied that the mega/nonmega universes were separated by a large difference and that each version is a sub-universe of whichever larger universe set it belongs to.

Non mega universe (rby-bw2)
Mega universe (XY, ORAS and SM)
And presumably the alternate mega universe in usum

Actually there’s a shitton.
Each game is an instance along one of two “historical timelines”.
Red is a different universe from Green and Blue and Yellow in the exact same way that SM is separate from USM.

So what we’re looking at is stupidly numerous shit like:

>YGSPtB/2 Universe
>RCRPB/2 Universe
Literally the only combo that can’t be is WB2 or BW2 due to the way the box legends play out (previous hero took the other dragon).

This is what happens when you make every game canon for a series with alternative generational titles.
