I honestly don't know. I think it's partly from the /v/ "every video game is shit" mentality.

I've never been one to overhype things or ignore flaws. I look at games objectively, comparing both the negatives and positives. And unless there's some huge unknown flaw USM look like they're going to be really great, possibly up there with BW and HGSS as one of the best games in the series

Sure, if the leaks are true it might be salvageable, but based on what Gamefreak has actually shown combined with their track record, all evidence points to the games being dogshit.
