I'll be honest and say I never completed a gen 1 or 2 game. Crystal was my first Pokemon game but I hardly remember anything about it since I was so young when I got. First game I actually understood was Sapphire and moved on from there. I skipped gen 5 and then went back to it a few months ago and had a blast. Tried HGSS but just couldn't fucking stand how awful the level curve is. (that and evo stones) Now I want to try Kanto. I have Red on 3DS but stopped halfway through to play other games.

Essentially what I'm asking is, is FRLG worth a play or not?
