I agree but it's still nice to have something in between the challenge of online battling and the mindless tedium of battle tree sometimes, for when you don't feel like a full on competitive match. Like just a fun, moderately challenging battle in-game without being up against someone else.

Fucking hell at least BW2 was an actual sequel so you weren't retreading ANY old ground in terms of campaign, and Emerald/Platinum didn't add enough that you'd feel compelled to play it again a mere year after the original versions.
USUM is sort of a middle ground, it adds enough to make it enticing to play it, but not enough to make it completely fresh. Fuck, should have skipped SM.
