Xatu is a legit pick, except it's level up movepool is probably the worst I've ever seen. I'm specifically saving TM's for a frontier team post-game, so learning good moves naturally or hms is a must

It doesn't have the polish of a real pokemon game, but it's still pretty good. Some of the new pokemon are pretty cool and it's actually challenging, most trainers are higher level than you so you have to outsmart them to beat them

Godlike typing for most of the game it seems because it's a bird that's neutral to electric, but he's going to be swablu until mid-late game.
I am training him as well as a swellow for this run of Emerald, I'm trying to have options and not make my team too ridiculous so there's challenge.
I also have the goal of having every HM on my team at all times unless I swap for one of the backups for fun.

Yes. Zygarde has Thousand Arrows which unarguably has the best coverage in the game. As such, he only really needs to carry three moves. Toxic is just to handle certain walls (such as Tangrowth) that like to switch into Zygarde, so that he can put a timer on them without having to use an Outrage in the mid-game while opposing fairies might still be alive.

All Scizors run defensive spreads but Bulky Swords Dance is still a viable sweeper. The biggest problem is that gen 7 introduced some insane walls and bulky attackers that can give Scizor a ton of trouble, so his viability dropped like a rock. He's still viable but mons like Toxapex and Celesteela stop him dead in his tracks, and Pokemon like Alomomola and Quagsire that have found a place in OU give him enough trouble to make sweeping seem like a faraway dream.

There are Zygarde sets that run Substitute, Dragon Dance, Coil, and Thousand Arrows. Fuck carrying three moves, he only needs one.

In regards to M-Scizor, don't forget to mention that Zapdos jumped in usage. That's a pretty big deal, considering Zapdos has typically been the strongest Scizor counter for ages.

If you can trade, Golem is a decent choice. Slow, but great attack and defense, gets rock and ground moves, brick break from celadon, and panic-button selfdestruct/explosion. Graveler OK but less so.

I think of Hoenn as part of the postgame for FRLG. Until you get the national dex you are stuck with 151 but afterwards you can bring all the pokemon over. I also use Emerald for breeding since it’s so much easier.

I beat the Elite Four with that team. The highest level Pokemon on my team at the time was Alakazam at 46 and they still kicked everyone's ass. Fucking critical hits everywhere. I was amazed. I probably had 3 revives and 4 Hyper Potions at the time, too. It might sound corny as fuck, bros, but that was easily the most magical championship run I've ever made in a Pokemon game and I've been playing Pokemon since 1998.

I used an Action Replay on my DS Lite to get my secret ID, made the team in a box in PokeSav and exported it to make AR codes, then spent 4 hours laboriously entering them in manually, fucking up one single number or letter in all of them so it's probably an hour or hour and a half of raw data entry if you're not retarded. After I got them all, I saved and plugged the game into my 3DS where I lack this gen's equivalent of PokeSav/PokeGen otherwise I'd have done it myself
