One thing I think some people might not realise though is the topic of SM's art style/animation. The animation is fine, the art style is clearly a step down from XY, and this is most definitely because the budget was split to make the newest movie, just like how Yugioh Arc-v's quality went to shit because of super high quality movie made alongside it, and they might physically not have the budget to let Ash have a team of fully evolved Pokemon like that.
