Team ROCKET
Every other team's name related directly to their goal in their own game (except Flare I guess and Skull too). Team Rocket has always been just a gang with a cool name, and I believe when they were first created, that's what Gamefreak wanted. But now that Team Rocket is returning in USUM the name finally fits.
Hear me out.
Rocket -> rocket ship
Rocket ship -> space
Space -> Ultra space
Ultra Space -> Ultra Wormholes
The accepted theory as of now is that Team RR will unite all the successful teams from their dimensions to create an unstoppable team of villains. They'll most likely do this by taking control of aether and opening wormholes to all of these dimensions.
Long story short, Team Rocket finally has something to do with space and I'm happy.
