There's instances where it can be used, for sure, like a drawfag/fanfiction thread, a (real) leaker thread in the case of this board, etc. As it is, using it for every post in every thread and in every board it's just attention whoring.
Most importantly, though, is the fact everyone is labeled as anonymous by default, because there's no need to make an account. Using a name or a trip for every post you make is pretty much going against the nature of the site.
