Plenty of pokemon pretty much get stapled as "never meant to be good" because of some gimmick gamefreak wants to force. You get things like Spinda who gets cursed with 360 as its total base stats for a joke and luvdisc whose only job is to be a source of heart scales. Then you get pokemon like krickitune, magcargo, ledian etc, who are so shit even low tier mons are laughing at them. Most people dont want every pokemon to be OU but just want the gap between decent and totally garbage to be smaller, but then people start crying about how farfetched is suppose to be shit, despite the fact that all it really does is give us a pokemon that no one wants to use. Making pokemon almost unusable on purpose is a terrible concept that needs to stop
