Also DON'T look at ebay, look for a proxy to get the doujins directly from artists and buy in bulk.
BTW, I'm from a Europe hellhole and I paid 1500 yen(15$) for TA! (1000 for the book and a 500 yen commission).
Got twenty books more with it, so the EMS costs and other commissions were pretty much 3$/book.
