How do you feel about Rainbow Rocket /vp/ - is it a pleasant surprise or stupid fanservice? Which are you most interested in seeing again? Are there any interactions between the villains you hope will happen?

Pretty much, Rainbow Rocket is in USUM. It technically hasn't been officially confirmed that all the old villains will return but there's no reason to doubt the leaks at this point.

It is both, villains are really popular so it's fanservice, but it is still damn nice. Is like pulling a 'dream team'.

Since they are all from universe where they "won", I'm curious to see how Archie and Maxie show up like. Winning either means they managed to control their legendaries and no much harm was caused (the boring option in my opinion) or the legendaries broke havoc and almost destroyed their worlds, making them realize how stupid their dreams were and wanting to find a way to fix them. A similar note for Lysandre there since if he won he would be stuck with a bunch of stupid rich kids instead of the useful people he actually wanted.

Maxie and Lysandre are both humanityfags so I hope to see how they interact. Archie would probably be at odds with most of them because of how they treat pokémon. I'm also waiting for Ghetsis to act chill with everyone and then backstab them because that's what Ghetsis does best.

Pleasant surprise. I'm a lore and storyfag and one of my biggest hopes for the games was to have a connected and coherent story one day, if Rainbow Rocket is a conglomeration of all the past villains as leaks say then I'm beyond stoked.

The only thing I'm a bit wary of is that the interactions don't end up being meaningful- you battle each team leader in his individual room with maybe one or two lines of why they're with Giovanni and that's it.

I think it's fanservice done right, as it gives love to generations other than the first. I'm looking forward to seeing Dennis again and Archie/Maxie too, despite it being only three years for the latter two.

I prefer villain fanservice to hero fanservice, so I like it i guess.
If it's not just Rocket, even better. (we haven't seen evidence of any other team yet, so only Rocket is confirmed).

Dennis is my favourite.
I just don't understand how the whole thing will work though - why would any of them leave their ideal world and join a gangster?
Cyrus just wants his own world, why would he give a fuck about anyone else?
Same with Lysandre, he only considers himself worthy of his new world
Archie and Maxie would just fight with each other
Ghetsis should be a dirty backstabber
