This is probably the most resistant I've ever seen bulbapedo be on a singular edit. There's so much evidence now that supports Elio/Selene Yo/Mizuki, why is the generic Moon still there? Why is changing it so hard?

In most prerelease material, the PCs get names explicitly related to the games (OrLANDo/Anna, Yvonne/Xavier, Blair/Whitlea, etc), while their actual names are something else entirely (Lucas/Dawn are related to light, not Diamond or Pearl; Ethan/Lyra to music, not Heart and Soul; Calem/Serena to peace, not X and Y; etc). So the fact that Elio/Selene are pretty much just "Sun/Moon" in another language makes it sound too "placeholder-like".

But then, trying to pretend Ray/Ailey are any better makes no sense, because those names are related to USUM as well (Ailey literally means "light", and Ray comes from light rays).

Bulbapedia has the most retarded form of autism.

For instance, they readily use the English closed captions for deciding Pokemon's movesets in the anime.

For example, giving Ash's Litten Scratch, Slash, and Fury Swipes just because the English closed captions each point out the move. Even though Ash only commanded Litten to use Scratch.

Another example. GIving Kiawe's Marowak Flare Blitz, Shadow Bone, Iron Head, and Headbutt for the same reason: English CC. Despite Marowak using the movements identical to Flame Wheel and it tossing its bone as if it used Bonemerang, they still insist on using the English CCs instead.

But when an English VA Liza Ortiz said that Stoutland actually died, they refuse to use that as evidence for Stoutland's "location." They claim that it is not canon unless the Japanese writers point it out.

Bulbapedia is fucking retarded sometimes. They insist on waiting until they get concrete evidence for some stuff, yet they readily make assumptions about other things even when they're wrong.

According to Bulbapedo, you can't refer to someone as a "He" in Japan.
This also applied to Ash's Pikachu, who remained "Gender Unknown" until Unova even though his tail never changed during Sinnoh to reflect Gender Differences.

The guy in the episode referred to Hawlucha with "Kare", which absolutely is the Japanese word for "he". It's just a very rarely used word, which is why "Japan doesn't have gendered pronouns" is such a common myth.

Bulbapedia has always been full of retards that would rather push their own assumptions over anything else.

Back before HG/SS released, they marked the page for Eusine's "Mystical man" trainer class from Crystal as a candidate for deletion because "there is no proof it exists." Something litterally in the games that could be easily verified.

They also used to claim that no Pokemon where carnivores or ate other pokemon, saying that would be "cannableism" because they are all Pokemon. They clung to a chronicles episode of the anime with Gary because it showed an aerodayctl eating berries as proof and tried to claim all the old dex entries about pidgeot eating magikarp to be retconned because they only showed up in gen 1 and 2, but not 3 and 4. They finally stopped pushing this shot when gen 5 came out and we got dex entries about how Heatmor roasts Durant alive and eats their insides.
