Why don't we have more gen 4 ROM hacks?

Can someone please invest their time in making tools to edit the Gen 4 games.

It's simply too fucking hard compared to GBA's advancemap. I mean, just look at recent emerald rom hacks, they have proper mega evolutions, 721 mons, physical/special split and a bunch of other minor shit from the sequels.

Gen IV's art style was shit in general. All the sprite/model deformation just from walking around. Yuck.

I don't think any of the hacks available ever did, but it's trivial to fix. It just takes a long time and is extremely tedious unless the hacker automates the process.

Mapping is the only part of hacking gen IV that's harder, everything else is actually much easier because the DS games store all their data in separate archive files, which eliminates a lot of the tedium involved in GBA hacking.
The DS is also very similar to the GBA hardware wise, so anyone who can hack one should be able to hack the other.

I liked that,its also good proof it is possible.Even inserting new event scripts can be done,I saw it in Sacred Gold/Storm Silver.Too bad that one seems like its currently on hiatus.
