I like the idea that in order to adapt to the world when its limbs were reduced, a snake specialized in manipulating vines to overcome that obstacle and have pseudo-limbs. It's that kind of fantasy adaptation in a magical world that really makes me adore the Unova starters in general.

Other unova starters just didn't appeal to me. When I saw Snivy, my first though came "A cocky smug bastard" Which made sense to me since he's a predator. Plus snakes are cool we don't have enough snake pokemon, so he became my bro. Plus he did great work para hacking everyone with glare during my walk through and mono run.

I became really fond of it after playing blaze black/volt white where you can get contrary easily and serperior is grass/dragon so its incredibly OP to have both draco meteor and leaf storm
