That, (and not the rubber tires,) is why a car keeps you safe if you get hit by lightning. On one hand, you'd think for living creatures made of metal this would mean electricity quickly goes to the internal organs. On the other, the pokémon's touching the ground, electricity might logically just pass right through it.

As a consequence, Flying has no personality. It's just a tool, and serves as a poor thematic representative of the element of air.
Psychic is better. I personally find it a very interesting type, though it was moreso in its heyday.
