Least hyped mainline ever for sure, though I didn't have internet back when Emerald launched to compare it to that, I suspect it wasn't a high point either.
It's a combination of a bunch of factors. USUM is basically facing an impossible task and it doesn't matter how much it improves over SM, it still won't win most people over.
