The fact that you couldn't even get it in it's debut game without getting the shiny dogs and celebi in the post game or whatever I'm sure didn't help.

It made for some good lulz back when I used one in vgc14. I had it pose as an amoongus and watch those nips rage quit. It still provided mind games on the lower ladder even with team preview

It's "evil" looking but not actually evil. Most kids don't want the evil looking thing and the ones that do aren't given enough of that aspect to work with, so it didn't really capture either side.

While I really enjoy its design, I never use it because you rarely get to see ut when you use it. It's always a different pokémon, so what's even the point of using it, especially for in game teams.

Honestly i think people just found it difficult and confusing to use. If TP didn't exist it may have gained a Switcheroo set but its not particularly difficult to work around when discovered
