I like pokemon and whether I hear that the games are good or bad I play them myself to judge them. I almost skipped out on XY because I heard some bad stuff about them but I played them and enjoyed them anyway. Although they are my least favorite games in the series they aren't terrible games by any means. $40 isn't a lot of money so yeah I'll be buying USUM, I enjoyed SM and I want to see how they'll expand on Alola.

Not at all. They rushed out Sun & Moon for the 20th Anniversary, leaving it an empty husk, but instead of updating & patching the game, they decided selling the "Super True Version 2.0" for people willing to buy a game that will most likely be the same except for new features that should've been present in Sun & Moon in the first place, and a generic, boring story that won't be skippable at all. The ONLY reason I see someone should get this is if you haven't had Sun & Moon, and thank God you didn't because that game was fucking awful.

Even ignoring all other new things from these games PWT 2 alone will be reason enough to buy the games. And for all people who have given up hope on this:

New battle facilities that arent a battle tower clone have ALWAYS been introduced in a special edition/sequel.

Crystal: First Battle Tower ever.
Emerald: Frontier 1
Platinum: Frontier 2
B2W2: PWT 1

Following that pattern USUM will have almost guaranteed a PWT 2. It was even stated ingame (I think in ORAS) tht one is held every few years. And gen 8 special editions will introduce something completely new.
