Dragons in general either stopped using their Dragon STAB in favor of their secondary one (unless dual STAB happens to give great neutral coverage) or just stopped being used altogether. The only exception is Latios, but it's only used in Smogon tiers as a defogger, being straight up garbage in official formats. Dragonite itself only ever runs Fly + non-STAB coverage nowadays.
