are you sure there are no mods out there allowing you to disable it? if it's possible to remove outlines from the 3D models, surely the bottom screen can also be disabled with mods?

The outline remover mod is literally just changing like 5 bytes of the game's code at most. Removing the entire touch screen is a much, much bigger mod than what you would think, especially if you want to replace it with something else.

wouldn't want it replaced, just removed - but with start menu and battle menu still functional

im not a scientist, but as the game works this way for the first 10-5min or so before you get the rotomdex, surely it should be fairly simple to implement
