Is there a more worthless and annoying move for in game? The AI never uses it for anything other than stalling a turn.

Protect worthless? Nope, its staple move in VGC.
Annoying? Yes for in-game, been doing white 2 challenge mode run lately and Unfezant etc. just keeps spamming it for no reason to stall a turn.

Pressure made move, but this one reduces the opponent's last move PP by 4 (in other words if the opponent used Close Combat and it didn't used any PP Up on it then it can't use Close Combat again)

In PMD Spite is the hell (it reduces the target's last move PP to 0)

Forget about considering all options in one turn, just keep using Water Pulse (XD i like to get confusion and also Scald is broken XD) until you've defeated your first opponent on Battle Spot Unrated

why go through so much to justify a shitty move? it blocks everything theres nothing to it, its just a safe button with no explanation. Shell pokemon are fine but literally every pokemon has it, its garbage tier and controls the whole meta

The only time protect annoys me, legitimately, is in the battle royale. That four way fight, seeing whoever you are ready to attack pop protect? Maddening. Also, if *you* use it, totally pointless. I h *never* seen the AI attack my protect.

It has uses. Mostly in doubles. But stalling while a passive goes like leech seed, speed boost, or toxic is fine.
