Because they aren't. Mew is from South America (faraway island). Regigigas is from the sealed chamber in Hoenn. Genesect is from the Glittering Cave in Kalos. Hoopa lives in the desert far away, and only appears in Hoenn. Magearna was created in Kalos, and is likely based on AZ's weapon.

It's in Guyana. That's kind of far from Japan, but it's likely closer to Hoenn just by virtue of Hoenn being more to the south.

Also, Deoxys isn't from Hoenn. And the UBs aren't from Alola

I could say that Castform are native to Hoenn but rather Alola, and that Hoenn just calls them artificial to make them sound more exotic, but I have no credible evidence of this.

I see the Safari as containing them so they aren't running rampant throughout Kanto, which is albeit headcanon, but I don't see how a Safari has to necessarily mean they can't contain indigenous creatures, they're already mixing other wild captures.

If you wanna get technical, Route 39 has Moomoo Farm, who's to say Tauros didn't just escape from the farm ala Riolu in BW2? That leaves Sinnoh and Kalos (which also features Baa de Mer Ranch)

I'm not arguing that point, however, it's already a bit shaky, seeing as how Purrloin and Liepard are catchable in a combined total of 16 areas across 2 games in Unova compared to Eevee. It heavily implies they're native, like how them only appearing once in Kalos implies they were possibly a non-native invasive species.

In BW2, the cave was sealed. Likely because the Unovans were trying in vain to keep their region free of their filth.

It is often believed that Meditite and Medicham originate from Sinnoh instead of Hoenn, not just because they are more comon in the later, but also because in HGSS they are attracted by Sinnoh music rather than Hoenn music.
It helps that Sinnoh has a more spiritual vibe going for it than Hoenn.

I know this is going to spark some autism, but do you think that the Great Marsh is just a "great" natural area instead of a traditional safari zone with imported mons and some bleed in from the surrounding area? All of the mons found there fit very well in the marsh, and it has the most specific theme of being a marsh.
Also alolan vulpix, grimer, meowth, and ratata were all introduced and naturalized/ bred. Vulpix came with the first settlers though. I think the term for that is canoe plants for plants. (canoe pokemon)?

You can still see crocodiles, squirells or vultures in the USA. It doesn't seem as weird as Hawlucha or Gourgeist in Kalos.

I do agree that the musketeers and the Snivy line should have been in Kalos.
