The odd egg is pretty much a joke. It has a 14% chance to be shiny in all versions except Japanese, where it has a 50% chance to be shiny, but even if it hatches shiny it kind of sucks.
If it doesn't hatch shiny it will have DVs of 0 in every stat, and even if it does hatch shiny (having DVs of 10 out of a max of 15 in Defense, Speed, and Special) it will have the lowest possible attack DV for a shiny Pokemon at just 2. Which is horrible any way you slice it but especially so since their special unique egg move (Dizzy Punch) is a physical attack.
