They're both great, but if you're playing gen 3 pick root. Claw has no bug moves other than fury cutter

I like Gen 1 and Gen 3 fossils equally, if you want one for walktrhrough pick Armaldo, Cradily is mostly depending on moves that it gets through breeding.

Armaldo does have some cool tricks it can do with knock off, aqua jet, and rapid spin but Cradily can pull its weight in practically any tier
